Archve Recent Projects
Below is a selection of PDF electronic forms solutions that we have provided recently:
2011 to 2013: Multinational Bank – Customer Onboarding
Development of dynamic LiveCycle application forms for opening new accounts
Using LiveCycle Designer, we performed a number of projects designing and developing a range of dynamic PDF forms for a multinational bank headquartered in the UK.
The projects involved developing dynamic forms for the opening of business and personal bank accounts, replacing a multiplicity of legacy forms. The forms and associated applications have helped streamline the onboarding process thereby improving the client’s experience. As a user fills in one of the new forms, sections of the form are hidden or revealed depending on user actions and what typically starts as a single page form expands to many pages as the user progresses through the form making selections. Fields also expand to accommodate the amount of text entered and pages re-paginate automatically.
2011 to 2013: National Health Service (NHS), PDF Acroforms solutions
Over the past few years we have provided a number of PDF forms solutions to the NHS.
These solutions have included the development and support of a series of toolkits based on Evenlogic’s PDF electronic forms technology (eForms), which uses Acroforms. The toolkits are used by all NHS designated bodies to assess their state of readiness for the revalidation of doctors and to electronically transfer the readiness data to an NHS central server for collation and publishing. Users filling in the forms at the designated bodies are able to save part-completed copies to their PC for further work. Once happy with the data entered, they use a “submit by email” button to create an email with the form data attached, which is sent to an NHS mailbox where server-side software transfers the data to a database.
2013: Rainbow Water Services, Health and Safety Checks
PDF forms solution enables engineers to collect data on their iPads whilst on-site
Rainbow Water Services (RWS) based in Ashford Kent is a well-established company that specialises in water management and control and associated health and safety matters. Its services include Legionella risk assessments and regular monitoring of cooling systems and domestic hot and cold water systems covering a broad base of commercial, industrial, local authority, educational and healthcare premises.
Evenlogic recently developed a PDF electronic forms solution for RWS that enables the company’s engineers visiting customers’ sites to enter data they collect on-site into electronic forms on their iPads.
The solution uses a PDF forms app on the iPads and supports a range of forms including technical service and laboratory reports, field risk assessments and order and delivery documentation. The forms incorporate JavaScript code, pre-population of specified fields, drop-down lists and data validation. When an RWS engineer completes a form, the customer can apply a signature to it electronically at which point the form is made read-only. It is then named according to a file naming convention, saved and copies are emailed to the customer’s preferred email location and to RWS’s office for analysis and processing. The system lends itself well to compliance with Health and Safety Executive requirements to retain documentation for five years.
Dane Henderson, RWS’s MD explained “The forms solution has reduced RWS’s in-house administration significantly and speeded up site document flow. It has also been widely welcomed by our customers who are now able to file and reference their reports electronically and promptly and then discuss any additional technical requirements with our staff, with both parties readily able to view the service visit documentation.”
